The price of dogwifhat (WIF) is shown live in the widget at the top of this page, and we deliberately do not copy a number into the text. A price printed in an article is stale by the time you read it, and with a memecoin that can mean a double-digit percentage move. What this page does instead is give you the stable facts, namely the all-time high, the all-time low and the dated milestones, plus a framework for reading the live number. For the story behind the coin, see what is dogwifhat.

The numbers that do not change

Some facts about the WIF chart are history, so they can be stated safely, with a source:

  • All-time high: $4.83 on 31 March 2024, per CoinGecko. Know Your Meme reports a peak of $4.85 and a market cap near $4.7 billion on the same day. The tiny difference is typical: aggregators sample different exchanges and minutes.
  • All-time low: $0.00155464 on 12 December 2023, again per CoinGecko, which is just weeks after the 20 November 2023 DEX debut.
  • Supply: 998,926,392 WIF for both total and circulating supply (CoinGecko), so market cap is simply price times roughly 998.9 million. More on that in WIF tokenomics.
  • Early August 2024 low: Know Your Meme records a fall to $1.14.

That climb from a fraction of a cent to nearly five dollars in about three and a half months is why WIF became famous. It is also the reason cautionary language belongs on every WIF page: whatever went up that fast can also come down fast, and the price has been far below the peak since. Check the widget for where it stands now.

How to read the live price

A price is only a number until you know what is behind it. When you look at the widget or any tracker, check these in order.

1. The pair and the currency

WIF trades against USDT, USDC, SOL, BTC and, on some platforms, local currencies. A USD price on an aggregator is derived from many pairs. If you see a EUR, TRY or CAD quote, it may be a converted figure rather than an actual order-book price, so your local exchange can differ slightly. Our WIF converter helps you work out an amount in your currency.

2. The 24-hour volume

Volume tells you whether the price is based on real trading. A big move on tiny volume can be easily manipulated; a move on large volume is more meaningful. Do not read volume as direction, though. High volume can accompany both rallies and sell-offs.

3. Market cap, not just price

Because every token has a different supply, a $1 token is not necessarily "cheap". The right comparison is market cap, which equals price times circulating supply. With roughly 998.9 million WIF, a $1 price means about a $999 million market cap, while $10 would mean about $9.99 billion. Those are quick arithmetic checks you can run yourself, and we use them in our price prediction scenarios.

4. The time frame

A 24-hour chart shows noise. A 90-day or one-year chart shows the real trend and how far the price sits from the high. Zoom out before drawing conclusions from a single green or red candle.

What moves the WIF price

Nobody can list every driver, but the repeating ones are well known:

  • Market-wide crypto mood. When Bitcoin and Solana rise, memecoins often rise more. When they fall, memecoins often fall harder. WIF is a high-beta asset.
  • Exchange listings and perpetuals. Binance listed WIF spot on 5 March 2024, Coinbase announced perpetual futures on 18 April 2024 and Gemini listed it on 18 September 2024. The Block also reported Coinbase announcing a listing plan on 13 November 2024. Listings often create short bursts of demand; the effect tends to fade.
  • Community stunts. The Sphere fundraiser in March 2024 raised roughly $690,000 according to Decrypt, but the venue said there was no deal. Hype can lift a price even when nothing concrete happens.
  • Whale and holder behaviour. A few large wallets selling can move a thin order book. You can look at holder lists on Solscan; remember that exchange wallets also appear as "whales".
  • Derivatives and leverage. Futures liquidations can cause sudden wicks in either direction.
  • Attention. Memecoins live on social attention. When the crowd looks elsewhere, volume dries up.
With memecoins, the price is a poll about how many people care today.

WIF price compared with the ones you may know

Dog-themed coins often move together, but not identically. In our WIF vs BONK vs Popcat comparison you can see how other Solana memecoins differ in supply and community. As a rule of thumb, comparing price per coin is pointless; compare market cap, liquidity and history.

Avoiding fake prices and fake tokens

Searching "WIF price" can lead to sketchy pages. Some show invented numbers; some track a different token with a similar name. To stay safe:

  1. Use well-known trackers like CoinGecko or CoinMarketCap, or the exchange you plan to use.
  2. Confirm the Solana mint on the tracker: EKpQGSJtjMFqKZ9KQanSqYXRcF8fBopzLHYxdM65zcjm. Our contract address page explains the check.
  3. If a DEX shows a price wildly different from the aggregator, you are probably looking at the wrong pool or a clone.
  4. Ignore "price alert" messages in your inbox that ask you to log in somewhere.

Should you act on a price?

A price chart can feel like a signal, but it is just a record. There is no "fair" WIF price calculated from earnings or revenue. If you decide to buy, do it with a plan: an amount you can lose, a way to check the mint address and a view on how long you will hold. Our how to buy WIF guide walks through the process, and CEX.IO is one of the platforms that shows WIF conversion quotes; whichever service you use, compare the total cost and verify its licences on the regulator registers.

Not advice. Past prices do not predict future prices. WIF can lose most of its value. Only use money you can afford to lose.

Reading WIF history in three chapters

A quick way to make sense of the long chart is to split it into chapters. This is our reading of the dated facts above, not a model.

Chapter one: the launch run (Nov 2023 to Mar 2024). The token appeared on Solana DEXs on 20 November 2023 and touched its lowest recorded price on 12 December 2023. From there it climbed through the Binance spot listing on 5 March 2024 and the Sphere fundraiser, topping out on 31 March 2024. The story of that run is mostly one of fresh attention and fresh listings rather than any change to the token itself.

Chapter two: the long comedown. After the peak, price fell back and later swung inside a wide range, including the dip to $1.14 in early August 2024 that Know Your Meme records. Derivatives access and new listings (Coinbase perpetuals in April 2024, Gemini in September 2024) brought short bursts of interest, but none restored the March 2024 level.

Chapter three: the present. We do not describe the current level here, because the widget does it better. What you can do is compare it with the all-time high above, work out the percentage gap, and ask yourself whether that gap tells you "cheap" or "the market moved on". Both readings are possible, and neither is evidence.

A tiny worked example

Suppose you see WIF at $0.50 on the live widget (a made-up number, only for arithmetic). The all-time high of $4.83 is about 9.7 times that, so the price would sit roughly 90 percent below the peak. Market cap would be near $499 million. A 24-hour move of 10 percent would be $0.05, or about $50 million of market value, appearing or disappearing in a day. This is what we mean when we call WIF a high-volatility asset.

Keeping an eye on it without going insane

Constant chart-watching is a good way to make bad decisions. A calmer routine: set one or two price alerts on a tracker you trust, check weekly rather than minute by minute, and note why you bought. If the reason was "the dog is cute and I wanted a small position", a 20 percent daily swing should not shock you. If the reason was "I expect it to double by Friday", you are speculating on timing, which is the hardest game there is.

Quick answers

What is the dogwifhat price right now?

Look at the live widget at the top of this page, or at CoinGecko and CoinMarketCap. We do not hardcode a number in the text because WIF moves every second and any figure printed here would be out of date within minutes.

What is the all-time high of dogwifhat?

According to CoinGecko, WIF's all-time high is $4.83, reached on 31 March 2024. Other sources round it to $4.85, since different aggregators use different data feeds and timestamps. The lowest price recorded was $0.00155464 on 12 December 2023.

Why does the WIF price differ between sites?

Each site averages different exchanges, weights volume differently and refreshes at different intervals. Small gaps are normal. A large gap may mean one source is stale or looking at an illiquid pair, or even a fake token.

Why does WIF move so much?

WIF is a memecoin with no cash flows to anchor a valuation. Price follows sentiment, exchange news, overall crypto trends, Solana activity and large holders' trades. That makes both sharp rallies and deep drops common.

Is WIF a good buy at this price?

No honest page can answer that. Check the live price, compare it with the history below, and decide whether you can accept a loss of the whole amount. See our prediction page for scenario maths instead of promises.

Where can I see WIF in euros, pounds or lira?

Use our converter or CoinGecko's currency selector. WIF trades mostly against USD stablecoins, so other currencies are derived from exchange rates and may differ slightly from a local exchange quote.
